Hi!
My name is Gerhard, I'm a Senior Producer at Warner Bros. Discovery mainly for Cartoon Network with 20y+ experience, focussing on commercial, branding and short form content.
In those years I was fortunate I could work on a bunch of very different projects - from writing and directing comedy to producing multilanguage programme campaigns; from being a mentor to students to coming up with creative concepts for marketing, editorial short form and third party clients.
So -in short- my focus is the fun stuff ... kids, comedy, animated content.
Check out the projects above, I tried to collect the most significant work... (aaargh, choosing is so hard!) ... Apologies, if some of it is not available in English, as my home turf is Central and Eastern Europe. Actually, multi language production is some kind of my secret superpower.
As a former character animator I like to start with paper and pencil, do some scribbling and form an idea from a picture and a concept.
If you got any questions, drop me a line! Happy to hear from you!
cheers, gER

Initially, 'Cartoon Network Academy: Football' was a 10 episode series to show kids how to perform the coolest football tricks.
Later it grew into a massive marketing stunt where the kids could film their best football trick, send it in, and win a training session with a famous footballer! - 2013 the face of the campaign was Lukas Podolski who was playing at Arsenal back then; so the trip went to London - 2014 we had a great ambassador in Brazilian national player Luiz Gustavo.
---> example for additional short form content (interview with Luiz / German)
The media coverage was enormous; and the whole stunt was a big success for Cartoon Network with hundreds of entries, rolled out across eight European countries - But the best moment was to see the kids meeting their idols!

Welcome to the biggest game show of the universe!!!! ... which -unfortunately- takes place in the smallest studio in the world.... Presented by an incapable producer and a host who's too tall for the picture.
There were 8 episodes for season 1, and 10 episodes for season 2; It was produced in 10 languages, and was aired across Cartoon Network across Central and Eastern Europe, as well in the Arabic countries. In several countries it went to #1 of all CN shows.
It was a great pleasure to go silly, writing the crazy dialogue between the puppet (who is the 'producer' - he's responsible that the studio is so small) and the show host, who hoped for an easy job.
As I came up with the idea, and I supervised shoot and post, this is probably one of my dearest babies.

Check out what happens if the hero of the fairy tale meets his dream woman. Who is a robot.
'Robopunzel' is an original short for adult swim on German channel TNT Comedy.
This film is a test of limiting animation while using a lot more advanced drawing style. ... or maybe it's a test how limited humour can be. You decide.
I came up with all character design, drawings, compositing, the story itself... and actually, I AM a prince, so this is just a film about my life.

For more than 10 years we've got a cooperation with the HSLU, the animation department of the University of Lucerne, Switzerland.
The students produce short form clips for Cartoon Network and Adult Swim; the goal for them is to develop a short story, create unique character designs and go through every step of an animation project
It's always very suprising how creative their output is! The clip above features just three image pieces of the year 2016, but over the years dozens of unique and crazy stories originated.
My role is to act as a mentor to the students, so I can't claim too much credit on the creation part. Just a tiiiiny little bit.

The Munich Science and Fiction Festival is the leading art meets tech festival in Southern Germany; with great music acts, installations, slams, art halls, presentations and ... fantastic visions what could be.
I'm proud to participate as a volunteer, filming the event, creating festival trailers, and recap documentaries.
What I enjoy most is the character of the festival:
wild - unexpected - smart - arty - trashy - classy - unheard of ... basically, it'll stay in your memory :-)

See what happens if your favourite Cartoon Network heroes discover their sportive side and jump into the snow!
Using a plain white background with just snow details the CN winter branding integrates perfectly in the CN brand world.
The single scenes were used as idents; the supercut was broadcast as a channel image piece on 5 Cartoon Network channels across Europe.

The German Human Beatbox champion RoBeat explains how you can do the magic yourself!
The show was produced for Cartoon Network Germany in 2 seasons with 8 episodes each; and went for a respectable Youtube hit after.
The basic idea was to create a playful use of words to form complex beats.
Check out the backgrounds and artwork I created: Every episode has a different theme, just connected with each other through our key visual, the bars. (... get it?! the BARS?... yeah, OK, OK... #geekconcept)
Now your turn!

'Love Cartoon Network' was an image and marketing campaign for Cartoon Network Poland, Netherlands and Romania, to amplify the new branding of 2017.
The concept was showing a family quoting and re-enacting their most favourite Cartoon Network moments - Encouraging the viewers to do the same and share their love with us!
The challenge was to produce a campaign that works in several languages; I created storyboard and concept, and supervised shoot and edit.

The goal was to introduce brand new wrestling league AEW to the German TNT audience that may not be accustomed with this rather special sort of sports entertainment. Therefore we opted for humour to bring the message across: “Life is better with Wrestling. (And wrestling is better with AEW)”

I was leading the entire campaign, wrote the concept, including storyboards and animatics, directed the external production company, did the editing and post production. The campaign was later on rolled out to France and Poland, and awarded with EEOFE awards 2020.

These campaigns were created for advertising clients of WarnerMedia, with the goal of leveraging their brands by blending them with Cartoon Network or WarnerTV branding.
For all the below I created the concept, writing, production and delivery. - For a better understanding I uploaded the English guide voice versions of each, so forgive me if the audio mix is not 100%. - just click on the pictures to enjoy the video!
With these campaigns we helped our Ad Reps to thrive in their markets!
These 2 x 2min videos were produced for the Polish Market, to sit on the Cartoon Network Youtube channel and on-air. The challenge was to create a tone of voice that both fits to the toy manufacturer as well as to Cartoon Network. I created a fictional influencer girl who stumbles across the world of Rainbow High and compares it to our beloved CN characters.
Toony is our ever opinionated influencer with his own show on the Cartoon Network Youtube channel. In a cooperation with EA games he’s reviewing SIMS4 in a series of challenges. (3 x 3 min / CN Poland)
Another production with Toony was for the Bakugan Universe - he’s exploring the new show, new toys and discovers the Bakugan skin in Roblox - a ‘digital first’ campaign, for Cartoon Network Poland. (1 x 3min / 10s ident / CN Poland + CN Romania)
For Lego Ninjago we fused the show and the TV commercial with a hilarious chat of the Cartoon Network characters. (3 x 45sec / CN Poland)
We combined our WarnerTV branding to brand-new Dune movie - sometimes simple concepts are the nicest! (WarnerTV Poland + WarnerTV Romania)
Sock TV is digital-first content for the Cartoon Network Youtube channels, It’s 10 x 5min episodes; spoofing all sort of internet content - from nature documentary over life coaching gone wrong to art tutorials.
I created the show, put the team together, wrote a great deal of it, directed, played some of the puppets, edited, supervised … a hell of a ride. Altogether over a million views on the Polish Youtube channel.
